Pregnancy stages – month by month
Pregnancy is a very important period in the life of every woman. While waiting for the baby to appear, each mother watches the changes in her body. Pregnancy in humans lasts about forty weeks. Very often doctors divide this period into nine months or three trimester, each of which lasts for three months.
At the end of pregnancy, labor comes, that is, the time when each child leaves the mother’s womb and is born. The term of birth is most often established on the basis of the last monthly and is a conditional term.
First month of pregnancy
When a woman learns that she is expecting a child, she follows with interest his development. Doctors often explain to expectant mothers that pregnancy is not only the waiting time, but also the co-creation of a child – during pregnancy and how my mother would behave has a huge impact on a child. In the first month of pregnancy, a fertilized egg, albeit small, already contains all the necessary genetic information, such as sex, nose shape, etc.
At this stage, the child, in fact, the embryo, travels through the oviduct. With each hour the number of cells grows. A week later he reaches the uterus and there creates for himself a cozy place for further development.
The first food that the child takes from the mother’s body is sugar. Thanks to him every day the child grows. The cells forming the embryo are differentiated by dividing into those that are responsible for gender, organs, and so on. A thirteen-day embryo creates a nervous system. From the moment of conception, it is already predetermined what and from which the child will inherit from the parents.
At this time, the fetus reaches about five millimeters. In the second month of pregnancy the development of organs is accelerated. The first organ that begins to work is the heart. This happens already on the twenty-first day after fertilization.
Second month of pregnancy
Then, atria and ventricles are formed, as well as the first blood cells. At this time, the embryo resembles a wand with a designated head and brain. Rudiments of the stomach, intestines, lungs, liver, etc. are formed. It is also important that organs such as the ears or nose slowly take on an appropriate shape. In the seventh week the child develops a sense of touch, he has rudiments of milk teeth, cheeks and the sky. Fingers are formed, and the nervous and muscular system begins to work. During this period, the child is about one and a half centimeters and weighs three grams.
The third month of pregnancy
In the third month of pregnancy, the wand begins to resemble a child, and his head is half the length of his body. Individual traits can be observed. Vocal cords appear, the stomach secretes digestive juices, the pancreas is insulin, and the kidneys capture uric acid.
The body of the little man is covered with an amniotic sac, and fingernails grow on the fingers. At the ninth week of pregnancy, the child straightens his back, able to stretch, jump, flap limbs, rotate the head, and move the fingers and toes.
The child is very mobile, although the future mother does not feel it yet. The growth of a child after three months is eight centimeters, and weight – fifteen grams.
If we talk about a woman’s body, it changes only the level of hormones, which are a result of their growth causes unpleasant sensations such as fatigue, nausea, somnolence, increased appetite, mood changes and frequent desires in a toilet.
The body does not change at all, except for raising the temperature to 37C. The monthly cycle stops, the chest and abdomen grow. During this period, you should remember about regular visits to the gynecologist and the need for analysis. Do not take any medication without consulting your doctor. It is forbidden to drink alcohol, smoke and consume flavors, and most importantly, it is necessary to eat right.
In the fourth month of pregnancy, all the organs of the child work, but it depends on the mother. The mediator is the placenta, due to which the child receives nutrition and oxygen. The child grows quickly, and his heart pumps about thirty liters of blood. Improvement of circulation is caused by the fact that the color of the child’s skin becomes pink.
During this period, eyebrows, eyelashes and hair on the head grow.
And on the fingers there are papillary lines. He first hears the heartbeat of the mother, the vision reacts to the light. On the fifteenth week the skin of the child reacts to the touch, and at the end of the month the expectant mother can feel the first pushing. The child during this period reaches fifteen centimeters and weighs about twenty decagrams.

This month, you can see the sex of the child on an ultrasound scan. The child’s height reaches twenty-five centimeters, and weight – forty decagrams.
The Sixth Month of pregnancy
At the sixth month of pregnancy the nervous system ripens very quickly, and the child prepares to live outside the womb of the mother. Acquires typical movements for the child, such as sucking. The skeleton stiffens, and the rudiments of permanent teeth are formed. The body of the child is covered by the amniotic mass.
For the first time he opens his eyes. Its dimensions increase to half a kilogram, and the height is twenty-eight centimeters.
